Description

A warm, savory Tex-Mex appetizer that serves as a show-stopping centerpiece for any party. This delicious dip features a luscious cream cheese base topped with perfectly seasoned ground beef, zesty salsa, and a golden, bubbly layer of melted Mexican cheese. It is finished with a creative sour cream spiderweb design for a fun, seasonal touch that guests will love. Effortless to assemble and incredibly satisfying, this dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for game days or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 lb lean ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 cup salsa
2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
0.5 cup sour cream
0.25 cup black olives, sliced

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spread the softened cream cheese evenly across the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
Stir the taco seasoning and water into the beef according to the packet instructions.
Layer the seasoned ground beef directly over the cream cheese base.
Spoon the salsa evenly over the beef layer.
Sprinkle the shredded Mexican cheese generously over the top of the dip.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Place the sour cream in a plastic bag, snip a tiny corner, and pipe a circular web pattern over the dip.
Decorate with black olives and serve warm.

Notes

Use low-sodium taco seasoning to control the salt content. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or vegetable sticks. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the microwave or oven.
