Ingredients
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
½ cup light brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs, room temperature
1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
4. Mix in eggs and vanilla until combined.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients.
6. Fold in chocolate chips.
7. Scoop dough onto baking sheet with spacing.
8. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
9. Immediately cut into hearts using cookie cutter.
10. Cool slightly before transferring to rack.
Notes
Cut cookies while warm for clean shapes.
Avoid overbaking for soft centers.
Adjust dough size based on cutter size.
