Description
Juicy and flavorful chicken skewers glazed with a golden garlic parmesan sauce, cooked to perfection in the air fryer. These tender and crispy skewers make a great appetizer or main course ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 lbs Chicken Tenders or Thighs
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 stick Unsalted Butter
8-10 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan
1 tbsp Hot Sauce
2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/3 cup Fresh Parsley, minced
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C)
In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and hot sauce to make the marinade
Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade
Let the chicken marinate for 10 minutes
While the chicken marinates, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat
Stir in the parmesan and simmer for 2 minutes until smooth
Thread the chicken onto skewers, pressing the meat together tightly
Brush a generous layer of the parmesan butter glaze over the skewers
Place the skewers in the preheated air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes
Flip the skewers and brush with more glaze
Cook for another 5-7 minutes until golden and crisp
Repeat the basting step and cook for another 2 minutes
Remove the skewers and let rest for 2 minutes before serving
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator
Use chicken thighs for juicier results or chicken breast for a leaner option
The cheese glaze can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days
Serve skewers with rice, salad, or crusty bread for a complete meal
