4 (4-5oz / 120-150g) boneless skinless salmon fillets
40g / 1/4 cup plain flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tbsp olive oil
6 tbsp / 90g unsalted butter
2 cloves fresh garlic (finely minced)
120ml / 1/2 cup vegetable stock
1 tbsp finely diced parsley
4 lemon wedges
Instructions
Let salmon sit at room temperature 15-30 minutes
Place flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish
Dredge salmon fillets in flour mixture, shaking off excess
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat
Sear salmon for 2 minutes per side (skip for drier fillet or sauce integration)
Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan, add minced garlic, and cook 30 seconds
Pour 120ml stock into butter mixture, bring to simmer
Add cooked salmon back to skillet, spoon butter-sauce mixture over fillets
Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes or until fish is flaky
Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges
Notes
Let salmon reach room temperature for even cooking
Use gluten-free flour if needed
For richer sauce, double stock to 240ml
Substitute dill or thyme for parsley
Pair with steamed asparagus or rice
Lemon can be replaced with lime for citrus allergy
