Ingredients
1 Pound ground beef (lean 90/10 or ground turkey)
1 Packet taco seasoning (or 3 tablespoons taco spice)
3/4 Cup water
1/2 Cup salsa con queso
3 Large flour tortillas (8-inch soft taco size)
2 Cups Mexican cheese blend (Monterey Jack, Cheddar, Asadero)
Instructions
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat
Add taco seasoning and water, simmer 5 minutes
Stir in salsa con queso until combined
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Layer 1 tortilla in an 8-inch round oven-safe dish
Spread 1/3 of beef mixture, top with 1/2 cup cheese
Repeat layers (tortilla, beef, cheese), finishing with remaining tortilla
Top with remaining cheese and 1/4 cup salsa con queso
Bake 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly
Let cool 5 minutes before slicing

Use an 8-inch pan for perfect tortilla fit
Top with avocado, cilantro, or pickled onions if desired
