Description

A rich Italian-American comfort dish with tender chicken, halal-approved beef bacon, and a garlic-cream sauce, perfected with fresh parmesan and al dente penne pasta. Balanced acidity and depth of flavor without pork or alcohol.

Ingredients

8 ounces penne pasta
4 strips halal beef bacon
2 medium chicken breasts
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
5 ounces chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, cook halal beef bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Dredge in flour mixed with garlic powder and pepper.
Cook chicken in the bacon grease over medium heat until golden and nearly cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds. Deglaze with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits.
Stir in heavy cream and chopped tomatoes. Simmer 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return chicken and bacon to the skillet. Toss with cooked pasta.
Stir in parmesan cheese until sauce emulsifies and coats pasta. Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

Use rigatoni or fusilli as pasta substitutions.
Turkey bacon can replace halal beef bacon for a leaner version.
Add spinach or mushrooms for extra texture and nutrition.
