Description

This vibrant, flavor-packed weeknight meal combines zesty citrus notes with savory butter-seared poultry. It features tender bowtie pasta tossed in a rich, herb-infused compound butter sauce, creating a restaurant-quality experience right in your kitchen. Designed for busy schedules, this skillet-based dish brings together bold spices and fresh ingredients for a satisfying meal that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta
1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cups broccoli florets
4 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
Salt to taste

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and cook bowtie pasta for 8-10 minutes until al dente; drain and set aside.
Season chicken pieces with salt, chili powder, and smoked paprika.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tbsp of butter, and sear chicken until golden and cooked through; remove chicken from the pan.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and the garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest, scraping up the browned bits from the pan.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook until tender-crisp.
Return the chicken to the skillet, stir in the cooked pasta, and toss everything together until well coated.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure you use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor balance. You can substitute bowtie pasta with penne if preferred. For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
