Description
Honey garlic shrimp bowl made with juicy shrimp, sweet garlic sauce, broccoli, and rice. A quick healthy shrimp dinner ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
1 cup broccoli florets
1/4 cup sliced green onions
Sesame seeds optional
Red pepper flakes optional
Instructions
1. Whisk honey soy sauce garlic and ginger together.
2. Heat olive oil in skillet.
3. Cook shrimp 2 to 3 minutes per side.
4. Pour sauce into skillet and simmer until thick.
5. Steam or sauté broccoli.
6. Add rice to bowls.
7. Top with shrimp and broccoli.
8. Garnish with green onions sesame seeds and pepper flakes.
Notes
Do not overcook shrimp.
Use tamari instead of soy sauce for gluten free option.
Serve immediately for best flavor.
