Description
Soft, chewy Grinch sugar cookies with a hint of mint and a bright green color, topped with a red candy heart for the perfect Christmas treat.
Ingredients
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp cream of tartar
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp peppermint extract (optional)
Green food coloring
Red heart candies
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets.
2. Whisk dry ingredients together.
3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add egg, vanilla, and peppermint extract.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix into soft dough.
6. Tint dough with green coloring.
7. Scoop dough balls onto trays and press heart candy on top.
8. Bake 8–10 minutes, cool before serving.
Notes
Use gel coloring for vibrant green.
Add Andes mint pieces for a fun twist.
Store cookies in airtight container for up to 4 days.
