Description
Easy garlic fried rice made with crispy golden garlic, scrambled egg, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and leftover white rice. A quick and flavorful side dish or meal.
Ingredients
1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 large cloves garlic finely chopped
1 large egg
2 cups cooked and cooled white rice
1 scallion chopped
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Add oil garlic and a pinch of salt to a sauté pan over medium heat.
2. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the garlic turns golden brown.
3. Remove the garlic and leave the garlic oil in the pan.
4. Add the egg and scramble until partially cooked.
5. Add the cooked rice scallion soy sauce oyster sauce black pepper and remaining salt.
6. Turn heat to high and stir everything together until evenly heated.
7. Stir in the reserved crispy garlic.
8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
9. Garnish with extra scallions and serve hot.
Notes
Use day-old rice for the best texture.
Watch the garlic closely so it does not burn.
Add extra soy sauce or salt only after tasting.
Serve with eggs chicken shrimp or vegetables.
