Description
Extra crispy oven-baked chicken drumsticks made with simple spices and a no-fry coating for a crunchy, kid-friendly weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
8 chicken drumsticks
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp baking powder
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with a rack.
2. Pat drumsticks dry thoroughly.
3. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, and baking powder.
4. Coat drumsticks with olive oil, then toss in seasoning blend.
5. Arrange on rack and bake 35–45 minutes, turning halfway.
6. Broil 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
7. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use baking powder for maximum crispiness.
Reheat in the oven at 375°F to keep the coating crunchy.
