Ingredients
8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced
1 cup heavy cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Sauté garlic until lightly golden.
4. Add tomatoes, salt, and pepper; simmer 5 minutes.
5. Lower heat and stir in heavy cream.
6. Add pasta and toss until coated.
7. Garnish with basil and Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Use ripe tomatoes for best flavor.
Half-and-half may be substituted for lighter sauce.
Serve immediately for best texture.
