Description
A rich and comforting easy creamy chicken noodle soup made with tender noodles, shredded chicken, vegetables, and a smooth, velvety broth.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked shredded chicken
3 cups egg noodles
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 medium onion, diced
6 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp flour
3 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Heat the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add onions, carrots, and celery and cook until softened.
3. Sprinkle flour and stir well.
4. Slowly pour in chicken broth while whisking.
5. Simmer gently.
6. Add shredded chicken and noodles.
7. Cook until noodles are tender.
8. Stir in heavy cream.
9. Season with salt and pepper.
10. Serve warm.
Notes
For thicker soup, add 1 more tablespoon of flour.
Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
Add noodles at the end to avoid overcooking.
