Description
Soft and sweet Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups filled with cream cheese, rolled in cinnamon sugar, and cooked until golden for an indulgent breakfast or brunch treat.
Ingredients
8 slices sandwich bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp butter for pan
Optional fillings: fruit preserves or Nutella
Instructions
1. Mix cream cheese with 1 tbsp sugar.
2. Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin.
3. Spread filling and roll tightly.
4. Whisk eggs and milk.
5. Dip rolls into egg mixture.
6. Cook in butter until golden on all sides.
7. Roll warm pieces in cinnamon sugar.
Notes
Use slightly stale bread for easier rolling.
Try adding vanilla to the egg mixture.
Serve with maple syrup or whipped cream.
