Description
Cajun Honey Butter Salmon is a quick and flavorful seafood dish featuring pan-seared salmon fillets coated in a rich honey butter garlic sauce with Cajun spices and fresh lemon.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (skin on)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
Salt to taste
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 cloves garlic (minced)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Fresh parsley (chopped for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Black sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and rub them with olive oil.
2. Season the salmon with Cajun seasoning and salt if needed.
3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and place salmon skin-side up. Cook about 3 minutes until a crust forms.
4. Flip the salmon skin-side down and cook another 2 minutes.
5. In a small saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add honey, soy sauce and garlic and stir well.
6. Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes then remove from heat and add lemon juice.
7. Pour the honey butter sauce over the salmon in the skillet.
8. Continue cooking for 3-5 minutes while spooning sauce over the salmon.
9. Remove from heat and garnish with parsley, lemon wedges and sesame seeds.
10. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh salmon for best flavor.
Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
Serve with rice or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
