Berries & Cream Stuffed French Toast Casserole layered with sweet cream cheese filling, fresh berries, and rich custard. Perfect for brunch or overnight prep.
Ingredients
16 slices French bread
7 large eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 cup half and half
8 ounces cream cheese
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/4 cup + 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup raspberries
Powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease pan.
2. Layer half of bread in dish.
3. Prepare and spread cream cheese filling.
4. Add sweetened berries.
5. Top with remaining bread.
6. Whisk custard and pour over casserole.
7. Press down to soak.
8. Bake 50–60 minutes.
9. Rest before serving.
Notes
Use slightly stale bread.
Can assemble overnight.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
