Description
A festive and savory puff pastry Christmas tree filled with basil pesto and melted cheese.
Ingredients
2 puff pastry sheets (thawed)
½ cup basil pesto
1 cup shredded mozzarella
¼ cup grated Parmesan
1 egg (for egg wash)
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Spread basil pesto on one pastry sheet and sprinkle cheeses.
3. Cover with second sheet and cut into a tree shape.
4. Slice and twist branches.
5. Brush with egg wash.
6. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden.
7. Garnish and serve warm.
