A warm, crispy, and flavorful Baked Parmesan Crusted Chicken made with panko, parmesan, butter, and simple pantry spices for a golden crust.
Ingredients
4 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 c panko breadcrumbs
2/3 c grated parmesan cheese
2 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into cutlets
Chopped parsley or basil, to taste, optional
Instructions
1. Heat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet.
2. Combine butter, olive oil, and garlic powder; melt and whisk.
3. Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4. Slice chicken into cutlets.
5. Dredge chicken in butter mixture, then coat in parmesan mixture.
6. Bake 20 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temp is 165°F.
7. Garnish with herbs and serve.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for best texture.
Bake on a wire rack for even crispiness.
